Dr. Shalesh Kaushal is a graduate of Yale University with a BS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. He attended Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where he obtained his MD. Dr. Kaushal completed his residency at Doheny Eye Institue/USC Department of Ophthalmology and has participated in research of the retina at Retina and Research Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Institute of Ophthalmology in London. Dr. Kaushal is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a professional member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), Macula Society, Retina Society, American Ophthalmological Society (AOS), American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), American Board and Academy of Regenerative Medicine, American Diabetes Association, and is a member and elected Fellow of the American College of Nutrition (ACN). Dr. Kaushal serves on the scientific board for the Lion’s Eye Bank at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and is a consultant for multiple other biotechnology and diagnostic device companies.
